Keigwin Scarf

‘Kegwynn’ Commission

Dancing swathes of willow and the elemental tones of rusty bracken, red peaty and ochre - just sung of the wild Penwithian moors to Lisa and I when we were discussing her special birthday commission

We collaborated our ideas on the colourway for this specially woven scarf that holds the spirit of place of the moors above the village of Morvah, West Cornwall. A place that is home to Lisa and her family, but also of the ancient historical site of Chun Quoit and the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural beauty (AONB)

This piece was woven in my early years of weaving, upon my very first homemade loom

Lisa Guy is an organic regenerative farmer based in far west Cornwall, where she raises rare breed Dexter cattle and grows basketry willow on her land - visit her website: https://higherkeigwin.com/
