Zennor Bloom Scarf

Traditional Herringbone Commission Scarf with a colourful custom detail in tapestry wool

The Zennor Bloom Scarf handwoven of British rare breed wool of Suffolk and Jacob mix. The scarf was especially commissioned to match Sarah’s knitted mismatching ‘Paintbox Mittens’. Both ends of the scarf are suitably mismatching and with a personal detail hidden within the weft - of three baby blue and three cloud pink stripes positioned close to the heart, each to symbolise family connections specific to Sarah’s three daughters and three grandchildren

With a palette that reflects the coastal heathland flowers of Zennor, a remote valley village hidden in the depths of the wild west, renounded for its Cornish folklore stories of mermaids.

This place is affiliated deeply with the scarves receipient, where she spent many of her years living as a child and as a mother. The scarf’s main colour is reminiscent of the colours of barn owl plumage - this story is particularly special to me, as Sarah is my Mum!

A much loved piece worn tirelessly that really does compliment Sarah’s colourful wardrobe beautifully
